The Department of State offers licenses for over 38 professional occupations. The licenses must be renewed and updated with the Department of State to stay active. You can update and renew your Real Estate, Notary Public and Appearance Enhancement licenses online. All other professional licenses are renewed and updated by mail.

  1. Download or request a Change Notice form
  2. Fill out the form
  3. Return to the Division of Licensing Services with corresponding fee
  4. You will receive a new license in 4-6 weeks

*Real Estate and Appearance Enhancement Professional licenses can be updated online by logging into your account, updating the information and submitting. You will receive a new license within 4-6 weeks.

  3. Mail the form back with the appropriate fee

*Real Estate, Notary Public, and Appearance Enhancement Professional licensees will receive a post-card with instructions to renew their licenses online approximately 90 days prior to the expiration date.
